What is BMCP?
It’s an awards program that recognizes excellence in privately held companies. It has been in running for nearly 30 years across more than 45 countries. However in India, 2022 is only it’s second year.
The Programme honours private companies for overall business excellence and sustained growth across the four key pillars of –
- strategy;
- capabilities and innovation;
- governance and financials; and
- culture and commitment
Applicants and winners benefit from networking opportunities, coaching from Deloitte Private professionals, access to exclusive events and thought leadership, media attention, and use of the Best Managed Companies designation.
What is the credibility of this award?
In general, I am very sceptical of such awards and don’t associate much relevance.
However, given Deloitte’s brand name and Programme’s legacy it does give me a good starting filter to look at these companies more closely.
