As per the moneycontrol reports, Vipin Kapooria, Chief Financial Officer of Blinkit has resigned and is expected to return to his former employer, Flipkart.
- He had joined Blinkit just about a year back in September 2024.
- He had joined from Flipkart where he had previously spent more than 7 years
In general I am always cautious when CFO of any company resigns and especially of a high growth sector. However, in this case I am not overly concerned. Reasons –
- Kapooria in general has moved around quite a bit across companies over the last 21 years; and
- Even previously he had moved out of Flipkart to OYO for 2 years and then had again joined back Flipkart.
So it seems Flipkart’s culture does suit him better than others and given that Flipkart is due for IPO, he might be getting a more meatier role than at Blinkit.
